Planning & Development

The Town and Country Planning Act (1990) place a duty on the Local Planning Authority (LPA) to consider the impact of new developments on the existing tree population both in and adjacent to the site.

British Standard 5837:2005 “Trees in Relation to Construction- Recommendations” provides current best practice advice. This standard requires that arboricultural advice is obtained at the very outset of any development, and that advice and supervision is continued through to final completion.

Tree Heritage have years of experience guiding developers through this process and liaising with Local Planning Authorities.
